Being the best together, every day. That is the aim of the colleagues at Detailresult. They work for the supermarket chains Dirk, DekaMarkt and Dirck 3. They have a clear goal: to support them so that they can focus on their core business.
Sharon Werkhoven, an organisational development consultant, explains how Detailresult harnesses everyone’s talents and looks after its colleagues. She is responsible for formulating group-wide HR policy. To this end, she works closely with her colleague Mirjam Hoogeveen (HR Consultant), amongst others.
“After my studies, I started at Dirk, where I was quickly given a lot of responsibility. I learnt an enormous amount there. When Detailresult was founded in 2006, I was hired there for a staff position. Detailresult is large, dynamic and offers plenty of opportunities. That’s why, legally speaking, I’ve only had one employer, yet in my experience I’ve had five!”
“Everyone has good days and not-so-good days. That’s why I think it’s great that askemo always asks me the question at a different time.”
“A year ago, my colleague Mirjam launched an employee survey within ICT. The theme we were seeking answers to was clear, but we wanted to try a different approach to the questioning. It had to shift from static to dynamic. Someone recommended askemo to us, and that’s how we came into contact with Roel.”

“To be honest, I used to put off those traditional surveys myself. When I did eventually get round to them, I’d rush through them. Spending twenty minutes answering questions just doesn’t fit with the spirit of the times anymore. What does fit, though, is short, powerful, light-hearted, funny, fresh, lively and fast. Did I mention simple?”
“During the demo, our management team was immediately enthusiastic, and the pilot followed soon after. With askemo’s dashboard, managers have immediate insight into employee feedback. They discuss current issues at the next team meeting instead of waiting months for the reports.”

“Most days the glass is half full, and sometimes it’s half empty. What I like best is that askemo asks the question at different times. The themes we’re currently surveying are: Working at Detailresult, Team Dynamics, and Well-being & Workload. This is exactly the same as in last year’s survey. That way we can see if we’ve improved.”

“We no longer have to bombard them with reminders. It now takes just 30 seconds to respond. Or less than a minute and a half if you provide a detailed explanation alongside your answer. Responses are anonymous, and we further safeguard this anonymity by adding another team to small teams of fewer than five colleagues. If employees still don’t want to participate, we won’t judge them. However, we do want to emphasise that we’re doing this precisely to listen to them and hear what could be improved.”
